Aabstract's Gallery in Fountain Inn, SC will host the Art of Garry Turpin for the month of December 2008. There will be at least 30 paintings carrying a Southern Americana theme. Turpin's paintings take you across the Carolinas to places that he has captured in hopes the viewer will share in the experience. Mountain streams, wild geese, people on the streets, children and grandchildren are what I paint.
When asked what determines subject matter Garry said,""When a composition presents itself, I merely follow through and paint it. It seems to be what I supposed to do. It feels right."
